QUESTION AND ANSWER;

Q; How do I prepare fro my tests?

A; You will need to know your repertoire and fully understand the method. Experience in teaching is paramount. As soon as you have the work in your own body, start teaching. Teach as many friends and other apprentices as often as possible. This will help you to feel more confident and comfortable when if comes time to test. And of course it will help you develop as an instructor.

Q; What is required for my written tests?

A; Your written test for the basic is made up of an anatomy quiz. You will be given titles of specific reading material which will pertain to the level of our test paper ie; basic, Intermediate or Advanced.

For your Intermediate and Advanced tests you will also be required to write a program for a client with pathology, specific condition or goal.

Q; What is the passing score?

A; You must receive a score of 75% or over to pass both written and practical tests.

Q What are my options if I can’t take my exams at the Authentic Pilates and Physiotherapy Studio Auckland?

A If you are unable to be in a certifying studio for your tests then we will make arrangements for a supervisor in your area to oversee the written part of your exam.

For your practical test we will need to see you actually teaching the system so you will be required to send a video of yourself teaching a client, colleague or other instructor. (OR this can be done via Skype as well if preferred).

The video should show you teaching the full repertoire on the mat and apparatus for the level you are undertaking at the time. For more information about distant learning and testing, please discuss this with your Teacher Trainer.

Q What happens if I don’t pass my test?

A If you do not pass your test, (either practical or written) you will be given some time to improve the necessary areas. Your second test is at no charge however should you need to test a third time then this will incur a fee of $150.
